Student Address Was Not Accepted
Kiara Jackson is a student at Albany State University and was recently voted as Albany Dougherty NAACP President. She had participated in many voter registration drives on campus so she was surprised when she got to the poll and was told she would have to vote in a different county. Kiara is a Georgia native, but had never registered to vote before going to Albany State, the poll worker told her she was indeed registered but in Dougherty county where she is originally from. In other words, they would not accept her student address despite registering on campus.
